aprilia rs 125 cdi problem

hello i have a aprilia rs 125 2008 and the cdi unit has been derestricted this made the warning light come on and the efi come up so i put a new restricted cid unit in the warning light then went off and the efi but as soon as i hit 8000 revs they both come on again please can any one help Very Happy

i deresticted it by drilling a hole in the cdi unit as shown by aprilia, then i took to an aprilia dealer for a service they told me that if i put a new cdi unit in it would turn the lights out Confused

hello i see you have a 900 blad ive just past my bike test and thinking of byeing my uncles blad of him its a 1999 rrw modle,im also looking at the rsv 1000r aprilia and cant decide between the two what do you think of yours Smile

Get yourself over to 125cc sports bikes forums.(or was it tj tuning? lol)

blade = very very good although im keeping pics and videos hushed up till i pass my test Wink theres only 3 people on this whole forum that have seen it but i also have the 1999rr and they are very good Smile

but i only got it because i was offerd it cheap

i wouldnt recomend it for a first big bike unless your a nutjob like me Smile

Waste of money.. instead of paying for a new CDI you should have fitted a powervalve.. Fitting powervalve makes EFI warning go off.

EFI light at certain revs or rather at certain throttle positioning indicates than TPS sensor is positioned incorrectly.

Don't service your bike at your aprilia dealer as they clearly have no idea about anything. Do like me.. buy Haynes manual and diy. In no time you will know everything about your bike. I wouldn't let a dealer monkey to touch my bike.
