well i got the dreaded phone call about my mate comming off his bike. turned out a woman driver didnt see him, cut across both lanes and he hit the passenger door. was a nice bike before hand lol. had lent him my shoei xr1000, in a way im glad i did as the helmet has a crack across the top where his head went into the top of the car, a shard of metal went through the corner of his nose and out through his mouth, just waiting for him to come home from hospital now,

Fuck that's a mess!

Still, if he gets to walk out of hospital it's not as bad as it could have been. Hope his recovery is quick.

I hate seeing carnage like that...it makes me cringe massively. From the sounds of it, he's in pretty good shape compared to his bike... thank gawd!

Speedy recovery. Thumbs Up

oh and to add his head hit the top of the car and bent the roof bad enough to stop the rear doors from opening too lol.

This is the wrong thread for this, but you are foolishly (and very childishly for your extended age) assuming that bikers can do no wrong.

So when I come speeding down a curvy road and a car driver just can't see me past the apex, looks, specifically for bikes and then pulls out, and then theres a bike doing more than the visibility from the junction allows, the car driver is lieing because he didn't see the biker? Or is he just unfit by being an innocent party.

I have done this both as the car driver, and as the biker. As the biker I gave the finger and got on the horn, then felt like a cunt because I realised I was the douchebag.

Extended age? Advanced maybe, but not extended Laughing

How many times have you crunched something you didn't see - a car, another bike, a ped? I'm guessing never. People on two wheels tend to be more alert. Looking at the place where this accident happened, I can't see how the car driver couldn't have spotted the bike.

Glad the guy isn't too badly hurt. But Christ, his bike's a mess Shocked

I wrecked my YZF600R and broke over 15 bones in a crash at 30mph, it's enough speed to break a lot and kill you.

I hope your friend gets well soon, tell him I feel what he's going through and it sucks, speedy recovery.

As for the bike, gaffa tape it. Thumbs Up.
