well about half hour ago.was travelling through town towards the traffic lights .as i was on them they changed amber.had no choice but to carry on would have been dangerous to stop vehicles behind me.so i went through then in my mirrors saw a blue flashy light.pulled over.mr police man came up to me.so i explained the situation calmly. And the git booked me a ts10(fail.ing to comply with traffic signals) 3 point's £60 pound fine Sad

At least you'll know next time to think that the lights could have been green for a while and prepare to stop. Mr. Green.

On a real note, that sucks. In all fairness it sounds like you got hit by quite the jobsworth.

Since those greedy fat bastards in the banks fucked the country, the plod are obviously under orders to give anyone a ticket for anything, in order to raise as much revenue as possible. I can't believe you can now get three points for narrowly doing a red Shocked There was a time when you wouldn't even have got a tug, unless you were really late through it. And even then you'd only get the 'scraping you up off the road' lecture.

A ts10 has been the only points I've had so far (over 7 years ago now). The copper that did me was a cnut, there was no way I could have stopped in time for it turning amber without putting the drivers behind me at risk.
It's also on a dodgy bit of road that goes from an NSL dual carriageway straight to a 30mph limit dual. I'm sure I read somewhere that the maximum change is limits was 30mph Confused

If you are going the speed limit and it is not orange long enough for you to pass through (if it is going orange at a time when it would not have been safe to stop) then there is something wrong with the light setup.

I wouldn't accept that ticket there was no camera...
