Helllooo,

I like listening to my ipod on long journeys, and currently use these,
https://i00.twenga.com/audio-video/headphones/sony-mdr-ex71slb-p_122375vb.png

But the problem is the buds never fit properly as they are just silicone so fall out often, even with the different sizes, so i find myself stopping alot just to put them back in.

So can anyone recommend me some decent headphones for riding?
Arrow Need to be in-ear, as my flip front helmet lets wind noise in
Arrow Would probably need to be some sort of expanding tip, to stay in my ear. If i wear ear plugs on my bike these stay in fine for the whole journey because of the foam material.
Arrow Less than £50

Cheeeers Thumbs Up

Where are they falling out to, surely your helmet keeps them in?

Anyway, I use these ones

https://www.over-board.co.uk/catalog//bwaterproof-bags-and-casesb/headphones/waterproof-earphones.p60.html

They have 3 different sized plug bits but too are silicone so you may have the same problem. I find them fine though and good quality. But mine are yellow.

Plus if you come across very heavy rainfall they are also waterproof. Thumbs Up

How about doing the 'DIY' route with foam ear plugs?

Lots of caberg helmets can take headphones as standard and they're generally cheap.

I assume you mean making a hole through some disposable earplugs? Was hoping for something slightly more refined lol.

Been looking at some foam buds for those headphones i posted though, they might do the trick.

Edit: Just seen the post above.
Yup, got a Caberg Trip, thats what im using. Theres a big space by the ears, so the earphones dont stay in for too long and fall into that gap.

recently bought myself some sennheisers, really nice earphones, great quality and volume.

Come with a couple of heads to suit different sizes but not foam type.

havn't tried them in a helmet thought.

I used the CX300s for a lot of miles across Europe. Did start to hurt a bit after a while, but not too bad. Good sound quality and mostly stayed in ok if you put your helmet on carefully, pulling the sides out a bit.
I lost them somewhere in spain though Sad.
Got some JVC 'air cushion' ones which aren't as good sound quality, but come with three rubber and one foam bit, they are also shaped so they don't stick out so much.
Tried putting the helmet on over them just now and it felt ok, but haven't tried riding with them.

Ultimate ear is a company which take a form of your ear and then produce custom made ear defenders which can have speakers built in...

Although I don't think you will get them for your budget.

I've got some of those hiding around somewhere too (though not sure where Sad ), he's about £100 under budget, but they definitely stay in well and if you manage not to lose them Confused, possibly worth considering a long-term investment.

I find that whatever goes in, or around my ear gets irritating after 3+ hrs. I too use the cx300s, but the ones with the neck loop, thatway i can pop them under my jacket when i give my ears a break.
Also handy that they have an extension adapter. CXL300 MKII. Best bang for buck buds i've used. Thumbs Up

Over budget but I can strongly recommend these:

https://www.hifiheadphones.co.uk/sennheiser-cx6-inear-noise-isolating-travel-earphones-cx-6-prodid-1861.html

Sound awesome - much much better than the CX300 level stuff. But also closed back so the wind has no affect on the sound or isolation. Comes with a variety of tips so you find and use the ones that stay in your ear the best. Fit flush to your ear too so easy to slip a helmet over them, and once in (I find) they don't work free even on long journeys. The cable is kevlar woven and very durable so can withstand being yanked on heavily and won't ware and eventually fray like most do. Worth the extra readies.

Sennheiser CX300's are decent enough for the job. Although with more prevalent tinnitus caused by wearing my Arai Corsair everyday, I'd rather use ear plugs now. But CX300s were about £20 from HMV during the sales.
