Did break duty this morning in thick mist, most of the kids ran off and hid in the weather and we decided it would be like cat herding to get them back where they should be so we didn't bother.
There were a group of Y10 and Y11 lads playing basketball and I walked over with my mate and called for the ball.
I stood at the edge of the D and held the ball, one lad criticised my grip so I gave him a look and kissed the ball. I was a little restricted by my WW2 Irvin flying jacket but I raised the ball and took my shot. Best basket of my life, it touched neither the board or the hoop. I am now a sporting hero and have a warm glow from the huge cheer that went up from students and staff. Very Happy

It was the jacket.

Good things always happen when you wear one of those, because ...

Not so. A bloke i know has one; he is the very living antithesis of coolness.
It's more than clothes that maketh the man.

I remember at the end of PE in school we were playing B-ball, you know the scene, 10 seconds left on the clock, the games tied, they have the ball down at our hoop, I manage a good steal, the instructor is counting "6, 5, 4..." so I thought fuck it, launched a hook shot from the other side of the court.....

Yes, you know the ending to the story, it went straight through, I practically jizzed in my pants right there and then, and for that brief moment, I new that I would forever be regarded as a hero - they would talk about me in the playground, girls would want to suck the skin off my dick, I'd get to choose who gets beaten up instead of me, I'd get crashed a few fags at lunch time instead of gettin LD's.....

Sadly none of this was forthcoming, though I did manage to score 2's on a snout, so I called it a good day Thumbs Up

When I lived in america the only sport I would ever play was basket ball, and I definitely know the feeling you are talking about. To be honest, I miss playing.

When me and five mates weren't at school we'd be down the local courts playing basketball, when we were suposed to be at school me and five mates were down the local courts playing basketball...

We all played for the school team and tbh we were rather good, we won nearly all of our matches and we could all hold our own one on one, I'd say I was at my fittest then, I miss those days...

I loved basket ball at school, but was constantly reigned in by the teacher for being a little too aggressive; same in hockey. Funnily enough I disliked netball - I think it was because of the non-contact rule - plus it was deemed to be a girls sport. Cool

Just went straight over the top and bounced off along the playground unhindered?

That was how I was imagining it playing out. Kudos to you though.

When I used to work in Starbucks we had a in-counter bin on the work surface behind the tills.
Talking to a customer at one point, I screwed up a bit of paper (redundant receipt or something) and nonchalantly chucked it over my shoulder for it to land straight in without touching the sides, as the woman I was serving looked on amazed with an almost religious awe.
Total fluke, usually it bounced off one of the walls, then across the surface, sometimes sliding into the bin.

I once did a hook shot from one end of the court, into the basket at the other end of the court.

If anyone else were to say that, I wouldnt believe them, so I don't mind if none of you do.

It did happen though, and what made it cooler, was I wasn't usually that good. It was a fluke.

She was middle-aged and not really 'milf' material.
I did also serve Kate Winslet once, only I didn't realise; much to the annoyance of the girl who I was working with (who was quite hot actually, but sadly didn't get any further than having her number for general social reasons Sad.)

That could be read that you got Kate Winslet's phone number for general social reasons without managing to get in her pants Smile
