Any good cures for a sore throat?

Ginger, honey and lemon is traditional.

Get some root ginger. Break off a bit about 2" long (makes enough for two good sized mugs) and slice it finely or grate it. Put in a teapot and add boiling water. Allow to steep for 3-5 minutes. Pour into a cup and add a good sized dollop of honey and a squeeze of lemon.

It's actuallly really nice to drink even if you don't have a sore throat.

Gargling dispersable asprin is also helpful.

I'm with ghostrider on this a good blow job will help you (recieveing not givng) won't cure your throat but will take your mind off it.

For all the ladies out there giving blow jobs and swallowing DOES cure most ailments don't know why but must be something to do with feminine genetics and thats a 100% medical fact ask any bloke.

2 Ibuprofen, your throat is scratchy because it is inflamed, taking anti-inflamatories should reduce the swelling thus getting rid of your symptoms.

Number of years ago I had a really bad "man sized" sore throat, went to the doctors and he suggested just taking Ibuprofen, didn't think it would work but totally cleared it up.

If you're just getting up, make sure you eat something with your ibuprofen. Taking it by itself can damage the stomach lining and give you ulcers, which nobody wants.

Step 1: at the hint of anything sore / cold like / sneezy take Ibruprofen twice a day.

Step 2: drink a nice hot toddy just before bed - few drops of lemon juice, half teaspoon ground ginger, half teaspoon ground cinnamon, shot of brandy, and a tablespoon honey then top up mug with hot water

Step 3: gargle with lukewarm water and salt

Step 4: stop talking or over exerting throat

Step 5: repeat all of above.

Step 6: if all else fails...amputation is the only solution.

Once the cure has had it's effect, you might want to rethink those nights of constant deep throating. Whilst I'm sure the money is probably good, you may not have a throat left by the time you're 50!

Merocaine is pretty much the strongest throat thing without prescription. Antiseptic and anesthetic in one. Additionally max amount of paracetamol.
