Im sorry but ive fully bought a moped as it didnt cost much due to needing somthing quick as my ts50 is off the road Sad

so i was wondering as im 17 i want to tweek it and make it faster

so any help on derestriction, jetting, bore kits, rollers ect would help.

Cheap bore kit? or what?
Tell me realistically what speed you think you'll get for what money
Better top end isnt influenced by your rollers, They just keep your engine operating at a certain revs. Lighter rollers only give better acceleration because they allow the engine to rev higher throughout all speed ranges meaning that it revs closer to its power-band.

Jetting depends on what you have, If you get a cheap bore kit like the Top-Performance cast iron kit, go up 2 jet sizes, If you get a half decent one like the Polini Corsa, get 3 sizes up.

For better top end, you want a gear up kit, what year is your scooter?

Got about 500-600 quid to spend on tuning (got zaust already)
So for that money,What sould i do? although im boring it out too

I think for 500 - 600 you'll be able to have the TS back on the road with plenty of change. Or get a half decent 125, I got my CG for £400 in april last year.

Now I think of it, you have your mates NSR125 that you could probably do up nicely for less than what you want to spend on tuning the piaggio.

Nah mate this zip was a price too good to miss so i bought it years mot with no advidories fully serviced still restricted. All i have to do is insure it again is very cheep ( for my age )

I have no idea what you paid for it, but to me it seems like you're wasting your money, I'd be willing to bet a large sum of money that for the price you paid you could have fixed up the TS...

You've gone an odd way round of sorting the problem, but then again I don't want to even try to figure out how your brain works.

well its getting fixed just taking its time

forkseals
swing arm bushes
new loom
indercators
gearbox gaskets
speedo cable
rear tyre
front and rear brakes
number plate repositioned
rear light mount and lens
head bearings
sidelight bulb


now you can probably see why a cheap 50 quid ped is an option.

not if you're going to spend £500 - £600 tuning it. Save your money, use this piaggio for what it is, a cheap mode of transport. Then with the money you save from not tuning it up fix up the NSR, get it legal and then use that, you'll go faster than if you spent money on the ped, and in theory, it will be less stressed out than the ped and should last longer (Y)

Very good point but this is me, i buy bikes and then they sit there lol. The nsr is in the progress of being done but it still needs a few bits done to it, So in full tony+money=no sense. Laughing

i see were your coming from though but the ped has nothing wrong with it but i do have to commute a few miles to work up an long a road and i find it dangerous to be sat at 30mph i know the basics about derestricting a ped but never got my hands dirty to derestrict one.

Ive done all my mates minerrelli AM6 engines but i dont think they are the same

But in Show+Tell you said it failed its MOT on the rear shock and was booked in for Thursday. So it's not got a year's MOT at all, has it? Rolling Eyes

Swingarm bearings £20 max
New loom - why? Just fix the one you've got, or wire up a new one yourself.

Gearbox gasket (?) - £10?
Speedo cable - £15 max
Rear tyre - £100 for a good 'un
Brake pads F+R - £50ish for all
Rear light mount/lens - might get this for £50 from a breakers
Head bearings - £20?
Sidelight bulb - 50p

That means you could put the Blade back on the road for less than £400. And it's far more exciting than a Piaggio Zip.

If you must keep the scoot, just MOT it and ride it as it is, and spend your money on your big bike.

and yeah i know most things on that list are cheap and easy but some i dont even wanna try doing myself thats were the cash racks up

Why don't you want to do them?

Even I can do everything on that list and I'm as cack-handed as a spastic leper. Seriously, the two most difficult things on that list will be the swingrm bearings and fork seals and as long as you do the dissassembly yourself you could even get someone else to actually change them for little more than beer money.

It'd be a much better use of your money and time. Especially as you've been given a nice little scoot to use in the meantime, so just keep it as it is and sell it once the Blade's on the road.

Back to the topic at hand.
For 600 quid, the best you'd get for performance would be
A decent cylinder kit for around 150 quid, Something like a malossi MHR Replica.
You want a top of the range variator kit like the Malossi Multivar for around 70 quid
A polini primary gear up kit for around 40 quid
A 200 quid exhaust like a good Leovince
A top of the range airfilter like the Doppler "Venturi II" for around £35
That will have you doing 65-70mph with enough power to pop a few wheelies with practise.
Standard clutch MAY need upgrading

what the hell does this mean? its either got a years mot or it doesnt, it cant have a years mot if it failed with no advisories, and would it just have a fail sheet rather than a fail and advisory sheet?

hes just chatting some major shite...i love how he hasnt got his "hands dirty to restrict one" but has done all his mates... yup, up the arse probably.

How about you take that £500, transfer to my account...i'll give you both my 125 AND my 500...you can collect the 125 and i will drop off the 500.. then you actually have 2 bikes and i can spend some money fixing up my decent bike. Deal!?

Either that or go fix your shitty crashed TS50... buy the parts and i'll fix it for you, anything to aid you in getting run down by the next reversing car/ oncoming bus...make the world a better place?

Oh and when i drop the bike off..i want to see this NSR, TS50, Zip and Blade...cheers Rolling Eyes
