hi all
just swapped my bike for a yz 125 2001
seen some numbers on the top of frame assumed all ok
only when i phoned the shop to buy some parts he asked for the frame no to which i said ill have a look and get bck to you.
so i get home look at nos but can only find 9 nos
like this 455 003116
which appear to be similar to the engine no
so i phone shop bck armed with this knowledge
to which he replies it should be longer and with some letters
now i am confused and can only assume i have been given a stolen bike or have i
is there any where else the numbers will be or am i missing something
please help as iam so gutted if its stolen...

Hi

Quick search suggests that 4SS is the model code of a 1995 YZ125 (YZ125G).

Suspect you do have the right chassis number. Road bikes do have a standard format for chassis numbers these days, but that appears to me to be a normal old style Yamaha chassis number.

All the best

Keith
