KTM SX65 Forks

I've just bought some SX65 forks for my TZR Powered Road legal pit bike.

They are 720mm long. So 60mm longer than my current Fast-Ace AS02 forks.

I need the extra ground clearance for the expansion chamber.

What I want to know is, What is the best way to stiffen up these forks?
And are they adjustable? If anybody knows.

Basically they need to be set up for supermoto style riding. Rather than MX riding.

Not entirely sure with those forks, but look into heavier weight oil and heavier rated springs.

I've got a bottle of 20w oil in the garage anyway. Which I plan to use.
As for springs, I have no idea where to get them from.

Would I be okay spacing the springs that are currently fitted?

Spacings ok if a bit bodgy, try and get the correct springs if you can.

They appear to be the 35mm marzocchis.

the ones on my KTM 400 are adjustable. to what extent i dont know, and i dont even know if its the same on yours.

spacers under the caps is a cheap winner.

Well I got the forks. Stripped them down, And they had no oil in them really.

So I've filled both legs with oil to the manufacturers recommended amount. But used SAE20 Heavyweight oil.

The forks are so plush now. I dont even think I need heavier springs. I'll spacer them if they are still saggy once I ride it. But they are by no means too soft now. Cool

Waiting on fork guards, And I need to make up a caliper mount.

More than likely. There's a few videos of it on there.

I'm still hunting for a reasonably priced caliper now. The KTM Brembos seem to go for silly money!

Try and get hold of a Aprilia MX 125 caliper mate, stopping power on them is great. but again, I think they're brembo?
