2 metre electric gates on driveway, alarmed garage, CCTV including infrared, 2.5 metre 16mm Pragmasis Protector chain, pinch pin (so the chain goes through the frame and not just a wheel) Squire Stronghold SS65CS padlock and a Torc ground anchor.

I'd be gutted if my bike got nicked but if theives want something then they'll get it. I'm hoping with that lot they'd pick an easier target.

Over the years I've found that owning old shite no self respecting thief would want to nick is a great form of security Laughing

Seriously, a mate did our garage door. The guy is a genius - it's virtually impossible to get in from the outside without going straight through the wall.

For when I'm out and about I have an old Abus Granit chain. I always try to tether whatever I'm riding through the frame and to an immovable object. It's worked so far.

Well the garage is alarmed, I have a disc lock on the front wheel and a chain and padlock on the back. Also have two dogs which make a lot of noise when someone comes near the house and leave teeth marks if let loose...lol

Electric Gate with 2x Maglocks keeping it locked, Access Control on Garage door (+Maglock) and Padlock, CCTV camera's round the house and in the garage, Garage linked to house alarm too, home made ground anchor that i'm not sure even i'll be able move if i ever move house, and the chunkiest chain that screwfix had to offer, Bike's alarmed, Disklock too, and i normally park the car infront of the garage just in case.

And i live in a quite respectable area. Have never been broken into in my life, and dont intent to either...

That said, if anyone manages to get in and steal my bike... without me (or my 4 iron by the back door noticing) fair play to them, it's insured!

Locked in a very secured garaged and chained. I would never live my bike outside without any security at all, no matter what area or country i'm in. I can be parked in the back of Obama's house and I would still lock it. Very Happy Very Happy

Is it garaged?
Alarmed?
Chained?
Anchored?
Covered?
Disc locked?
Do you have CCTV and 'hounds'?

Or are you one of them who leaves it outside their house with nothing at all? Thinking

Why is that a stupid amount to have all that?
The dog won't bike but makes a hell of a noise.

Very old and crusty CB500 (a form of security in itself - big enough that the kids don't really want a go but also boring and naff enough that the exotic bike thieves can go play with the nicer bikes on the main road).
With an Almax Series 3, tethered through the frame to an immovable object.
Bike has Datatag markings.
Also has an alarm with motion sensor.
And a cover, currently locked with a cable lock, largely to keep it from blowing away.
Steering lock is engaged

And i wouldn't feel guilty punching attempted bike thieves in the face, hard and repeatedly Thumbs Up

Definitely need to teach your dog how to bike, is he just revving it to make all the noise? You need to teach him to let out the clutch a bit mate Wink

I hope that dog realises a) it's likely to get nicked for not wearing a lid, and b) it's going to have serious trouble kicking that 80 over, changing gear and braking Laughing

i have none...
if im honest...go ahead..nick it.. Razz
my insurance says i keep it on the road with no security.
Ive had my bike stolen, it was alarmed, chained to a MASSIVE cast iron gate through the actual frame..

Didnt stop them, but they did damage the gate and the bike when stealing, so i cant be bothered with that hassle again!

Ive always got the car...

But on the long periods when i go away or just really cant be bothered to take the bike..aka this snowy period, it comes indoors.

Best security I've ever had was a left hand kick start disguised as the gear lever and a push key to operate ignition switch. The chain was cut on my Jawa numerous times. I'd find it round the corner with the lights turned on (which is all that happens if you stick a screwdriver in the lock and turn it) and every button pushed.

The Enfield has a similar security system in the form of a 50 year old pre-unit single kickstarter design which requires knowledge, skill and practice to operate without injury. If they do get it started, I'm hoping the upside down, right hand gear shift will further put them off.

The VFR is too battered to be worth anything on the spares market and too big and scary for chavs to ride.

Got a disk lock, chain, ground anchor and datatool s4 alarm on mine. Also garage it and cover it up but the hound lives in the house sadly.

Yeah, I always tell perfect strangers what security I've got on my bike. Would you also like to know where my spare house keys are kept and the combination to the safe?

Honestly, some people... Rolling Eyes

Nothing, I've even left the keys in it a few times, just get the postman knocking on the door with them. I've got a disklock and chain but hardly ever use them except when I'm away. I might fit a customised immobiliser if I'm bored. I struggle enough to get it started though, so they aren't going to have much success tbh.
