Hi guys

I have a 1990 honda ns125r-k and the petrol is dripping from over flow pipe. I have had the idel jet and and valve under the float replaced. But it still seams to leak fuel. Also it is a nightmare to start up could it be because the engine is cold, and when biting point is set it just cuts out any ideas guys.

Regards Gareth

Float could be sticking. An old bike of mine did this when there was a load of water in the carb.

So quick and easy things. Drain the float bowl - you do this with the carb in place, the drain screw is low down on the float bowl and fuel will come out of the bottom.

Then give the carb a good solid tap with the back of a screwdriver.

See if it starts behaving.

Hi

Thanks for the post. So where abouts is the drain screw. Is it the big bolt underneath the carb on the float bowl. I have had it running just not perfect. It coughs an splutters sometimes. Any help will appreciate it.

Regards

Gareth

Hi

The PHBH carbs don't have a seperate drain screw, you have to undo the large brass bolt (which hold the main jet).

All the best

Keith
