J&S in Northwich have a good selection, but are there any other shops with a good selection in stock in the Manchester area?

Cheers

Hunts in burnage are ok,Hein gericke over near strangeways, rocket centre in blackburn, and fastline in preston.
Depends what youre looking for and how much you want to spend but i usually use J and S as they have the biggest selection of bike gear in the north west..
You`ll get things cheaper by shopping online though Wink

I liked Ghostbikes - got helmet, gloves and jacket all for under £120 Cool
Pretty basic admittedly, but good prices!

They don't have a great selection on the shopfloor, but check out the website and they can bring stuff through from the back for you to try if you know what to ask for.

Check out Bikingear as well if you're in Preston, they seem to be primarily an online shop (not sure about that tho) but they say they welcome visits and let you try on gear (can't find the bit where I read that now...) not great for boots, but worth checking out.

Both sites have eBay shops - which was where I found them originally.

My suggestion would be some high ankle hiking boots from TK Maxx - but that's because I'm cheap and a scooter rider so don't have to worry so much... Shifty

I like HG on Bury New Road, friendly helpful staff and reasonable selection of gear. Mostly out of my price range alas..

Philip Youles on Bury New Road, not sure if they have much in shop stock, as it's a scooter dealership, but they have another one in Blackburn, and they show boots on their website.
