It will return about 280 miles per gallon with a top speed of 40 miles per hour. If that top speed seems a bit on the slow side, well, that's what you get for the low, low price of $855.

I'd rather use the push bike and stay green rather than ride that.

We'll never have one as from the picture it looks like it is using a 2 stroke engine.

Interesting though.

I find the claim that it will perform just as well as a 120cc a bit bold when they state the top speed is 40mph Laughing

$855? You can guarantee if it ever was made available here it'll be £1500.

What is the reason that these eco bike developers style the think like a cheap chinese scooter rather than a moden bike?

I would buy an eco bike if a) it looked modern like a zx10 or something b) could at least be safe on motorways.

Cost.

It's not aimed at our market, it's aimed at Asia where they just want cheap, economical, reliable transport.

Cheap commuter? I'd definitely consider it, as reliability and economy are exactly what I want (at least until I can actually afford something big!). Thumbs Up

It'll be mildly interesting to see how long a hybrid can stand up to all the dust there.

Still, that overcomplicated monstrosity can stay over there tbh, Honda should bring this over instead:

https://indianautosblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/12/Honda_CB_Twister_CBR_100.jpg

It's not on par for fuel consumption giving a measly ~160mpg, but it's cheaper, faster with less to go wrong, plus it doesn't look like a jinyunlongshinfan rot box Thumbs Up

Hi

Had a ride on a "hybrid" scooter getting on for a year ago. A scooter that used an electric motor at low speed and fired up the petrol engine at about 25mph.

It was frighteningly slow Shocked .

All the best

Keith

I was a bit worried when I saw this:
https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1239325/Petrol-rise-15p-litre-Government-raises-taxes-motorists-pay-massive-debts.html

Suddenly that 9bhp 200mpg Honda CB Twister looks good

An old neighbour of mine is selling these bad boys:

Quote:
Two brand new electric scooters for sale! The one pictured below is selling for $1948, and I have another white one going for $1295.
They come with multiple locked storage areas, pedals (so you can use it as a bicycle to save power and get your workout in if you like)
Mirrors are also included (just not in the picture).
Battery and charger are included of course.
License and pink slip are not needed because it is technically considered a bicycle by law.
Top speed is about 25 -30 mph.
Charge it overnight and it will last all day!
Great for in-town commutes to work or school, or drive it around your home or neighborhood. whatever suits you best!

Call or email!

I'd rather stick to a none-eco friendly bike that ride something that looked like it was put together by a blind chimp with a Meccano kit!
