Yes: first you remove both the wheels, take the lawn mower out of the shed & wash your neighbours dog.

Report back after you've done that.

Hi mdlhand, key in slingshot.co.nz, it'll take you to a New Zealand site with loads of good information on ER6s. You'll probably find that it's a right b*****d of a task and you'll end up at the local dealer's.

I'm not too familiar with the bike but usuallly it's just the seat, and tank that needs to come off on most bikes. Bodywork (side panels) sometimes need to be unclipped from the tank and fairings sometimes need to be removed as does the airbox. If you're really unlucky the radiator has to come off too but that's rare.

At a guess, on your bike, I'd say that you will only need to unclip the side panels from your tank then remove the tank and seat. Just look at what's in the way then remove it. Watch for cables and/or hoses underneath the tank that you will have to unclip to remove it.
