Just tidying up my hard drive and I found my folder of old cars and bikes, and this shot does it for me. I'm not pleased to say I miss that old girl. Sad

Here's the bike I miss the most.

Yes I know, it's a scooter, but it gave me endless enjoyment and freedom.

I really miss my ZXR4 which I sold to a mate of JP.

Not the best photo but one I like.

Miss it because it took me on an awesome road trip around NZ, was used and abused and never missed a beat. It was also an absolute beast after a few choice fuelling/exhaust mods Very Happy Never had or ridden a more bonkers bike (incl. a Tuono).

I sold it for £400 due to not worth risking it when I had no licence.

Miss this more than any other bike. But it's not the bike I miss, it's recapturing those awesome memories I had when my riding started getting better.

And the sound from the poorly baffled Art Pro Series 2 can, for some weird reason, no other exhaust system I've had on the bikes thereafter have quite made the same bark.

Not very likely as I haven't often taken pics of my bikes in the past. I did post a couple of the RXS (of course Laughing ) on another thread.

Back in the day it was a lot of arse taking pics. Getting them developed. Spending money that could be put to better use in the petrol tank...wasn't likely to happen Laughing

I do have a few pics of old bikes knocking around, mostly taken by other people, who then gave me copies (yes, I'm tight Laughing ).

I still miss my ickle YBR125. Fantastic for doing the 5 mile commute and even better for getting in and out of our garden and up the muddy alleyway (does a good moto x impression - better than my Hornet!)

No he isn't. Don't forget that it is very recent that photos didn't need film, cameras were big things, most people rode their bikes, not sat there taking pictures.
In the last two years I have taken more photos where my bike is in the picture that I had done in the 24 years before.
I haven't got any photos of my first three bikes, only got 3-4 photos of my last bike, even now I only have about 30 photos, of the bike I'm on now and those are the only digital pictures of a bike I have.

Yep, these youngsters won't remember the days when taking a pic or two of your bike was quite an event, rather than something you do every time you go out for ride Laughing

I do wish I had more pics of my old bikes. About 90% of the pics I have from the past 20-odd years are of my faithful old RXS, as that's what I've covered the most distance on and it has always been my favourite bike.

The sound.

Crying or Very sad

R6 puts more power down, but doesn't sound as brutal.

I'm on about these days though. Digital cameras have been out for quite a while now, and with pretty much every phone having a camera on it too, it's easy to get a snap. I'm surprised we've not seen many pictures of his RXS considering he never shuts up about it Laughing
