I originally posted this at 125cc sports bike forums (you can find the original post @ https://www.125ccsportsbikes.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=73002&pid=1076752) It got an ok review so thought i'd shove it here (copy + pasted)

So I got a Haynes manual for xmas, I'm extremely f**king bored and don't have a license yet. So I'm flipping through the manual seeing how hard certain things are. Anyway I'm the kinda person when it comes to cars that follows the manual properly, really want to maintain this VFR seeing as it's only 2 years younger than me, so I made this;

Obv it's f*ck all help now, but I plan on doing most the '6 month' stuff when I'm back from uni in spring before the MOT, I'll update the mileage once a week or so and keep track of what's going on.

Not got a Haynes manual to hand for that =P

Seriously, whip up Excel and it'll take you all of 15 minutes. I made mine using Numbers for Mac, if anyone wants a copy of the Mac version let me know, I can't export it for Excel users as it has multiple spreadsheets in one doc as you can see above, doesn't take long to make though =]

Word of warning - don't just follow the Haynes manual blindly; they aren't always 100% correct. Read and interpret, rather than following the instructions exactly!

Also roll on the "I'm too busy riding it ffs!" posts Very Happy

Edit: nice idea though! Wonder if an online version of this would be useful? I.e. a site you could log into and have this information readily available and keeps a log of your progress / to-do list?

I'm a web developer, so that thought did pop in to my head, however, you'd have to keep logging in and updating your mileage etc, I don't think many people could be assed.

Maybe something like an iPhone App would be cool (which I also make!) but again, wouldn't get that much use I don't think!

Google Docs? Can't really see an advantage of having it online really. Or having it at all. Each too their own Wink
