R6 Engine Transplant: Phase One

Luke's R6 engine is 'bolloxed' to use technical terminolgy. So, he's bought a replacement engine from G, which was in his (now also bolloxed) R6 track bike.

Stripping commences. The bent mushroom is dispatched with a large hammer, otherwise all is straightforward.

And out pops the engine. I say 'pops', the frame had sustained more damage than originally thought and had deformed around the engine a bit to hold it in with no bolts, so it took a good deal of shoving. Now it's out we can see...

DOH! That'll need welding then.

So, giving up for today as the engine's off to get welded, we take the obligatory comedy photograph.
