Here's a picture of my beast Smile not seen many of these around but it's a pretty decent bike, and was a cheap buy to say it was brand new!

This was my first bike...

I was as chuffed with it as you were. For about a week.

Start saving for your full license before it loses its shine and too many bits fall off it! Smile

Looks nice now unfortunatly it will probably fall to bits and rust into nothing soon enough, thats the problem with those cheap chinese bikes enjoy it while it lasts.

I found that Wuyang-Honda Motors (Guangzhou) Co.,Ltd belongs to honda group.
Wuyang-Honda site

Wuyang-Honda is a joint venture company between honda and 広州摩托集団公司(each 50%).
They make LEAD and Spacy100 for Japan market.

Wuyang-Honda line up. There isn't WY125 in it.

Edit : I found it. WY125-16C was the type name and found this.

About Us
Reading this , Wuyang-Honda and wuyang motorcycle seem to be different companies.

In many ways it's a real shame the Chinese don't seem to make their bikes very well, as some of the stuff they turn out is quite charming in a sort of retro / outdated way. Some of it is sheer hideousness though.

If I could buy this bike, for example, without there being a 90% chance of it being scrap within 3 years (and it being a pack of trouble in the meantime) I probably would.

They're getting better and they will improve a lot more yet. I was 'into' bikes in the very early sixties and can remember the flak and jibes directed at the Japanese then, things like "They'll never last, they rev too high". My current 'knockabout' bike is a 1980 Honda CB250RSA with 50000 miles on it !. Best of luck with the bike, look after it a bit, watch for rust and do something about it and I'm sure it'll be fine.

Thanks, yeah she's a good looking girl. The icing on the cake is that all the parts are from Honda themselves and built in China, and the engine is basically a CB125 engine, and Honda engines generally run forever, so fun times to come Very Happy

The big difference with the Japanese though is they sent their bikes racing which when they won, made people think that they know what they're doing.

I doubt any time soon you'll see a Chinese bike winning the TT.

There's something about Chinese bikes...the ones with wire wheels seem to be generally awful, but the ones with cast wheels are usually OK. No idea why. My brother had a Sanya 125 (cast wheels) and it was well built and ran reliably for over 20K miles till a car back ended him and the bike was written off.

The Sanya cost £895 and was outstanding value. High quality paint finish, stainless bits and pieces, good handling, decent brakes etc. Would probably have bought one myself if I hadn't already got a large stable of bikes.

Brother also had a Chituma 125, which was the worst pile of dung I've ever seen in all my born days (and I've owned a couple of CZs Laughing ).

Chinese bikes are definitely better quality than what they used to be, I know when I was looking my dad told me to be careful of the cheap Chinese 125's, but they're becoming quite reliable and seeing as all the parts are from Honda it can't be that bad Very Happy

There's one I've seen, not sure who makes it, which has a four speed, manual clutch C70 engine. I want one, but I can't find out any info about them Confused

That sounds like quite a nice bike, has a similar rumble to the one i've currently got.

Gotta say the only thing Chinese I would buy was a monkey and 90% of that would be replaced in a year.

However if your happy that's cool. I hear a lot of this "parts are made by brand name" but I am always skeptical.

Reminds me a little of my old CG.

Well according to what i've read, Wuyang is actually Wuyang-Honda, like a Honda business but on Chinese soil, so Honda ship their bits to China, and Wuyang build/sell them on their name, Honda gets cheap labour rates for building them there for a guess, and both business make money.
