£15 victim surcharge has been around for several years, get convicted of anything and you'll get a £15 victim surcharge that probably never even goes near a victim of crime.
Speeding is the just the latest victimless crime that people have to pay a £15 victim surcharge for.

I only just saw this in here where it'll get less views than Shadowbiker's 'Blade but jesus fucking wept.
What else can they come up with?
I'm actually wondering how may more idiotic ideas they can target at motorists?
Does anyone know of a way to actually oppose these pathetic wankers' proposed regulations(for want of a better word)?
I feel these issue's are not ones I want creeping up on me when I'm stopped, and handed a fine because I was having a spirited ride since the pulling copper didn't have his leg over the night before.. only to later realize some of this increased fine money goes toward the cleaning of graffiti some tearaway teenage scally wrote in protest of some trivial issue while fueled by raging pre-pubescent hormones.
Now, if it was a tax that benefited kerbside tree planting for fluffy kittens to rest against rather than cleaning graffiti off under bridge walls that comfort lowlife chavs then I'd be for it. Yes, this should probably be paid for by councils and council tax etc, but we'd at least see it spent; on pretty tree's and fluffy kitten resting areas...
How come, my fine for not wearing a seatbelt(which i'll jeopardize my safety if i bloody want to) goes in part to some silly woman who let her man knock her about?!
| Quote: | The amount will be added to fixed penalty tickets given out by police for breaking parking regulations, contravening a stop sign, speeding and even having dirty windows. |
Dirty windows..... being fucking fined for dirty windows??!
So, me not cleaning my windows could get me a fine which will in part go to some compo fund for a domestic violence case or sex attack. Great, because there aren't any such funds in place for them. And then
| Quote: | 'By calling it a "victims' surcharge" and applying it to minor motoring offences and parking tickets where there are clearly no victims, the Government is making a mockery of the tax system. | Really? Our G'ment??! fucking something up? What's that all about?
It's a sad day for Great sinking britain-ness when we get taxed on our civil liberties, oh wait no that started a while ago.
I'm lost for words, wasting a rant.
I might just be back yet... When I think of a close. ____________________ Roger wrote: Women don't get damp for clingy puppies. Get some better happy pills, hit the gym & buy a medallion the size of a dinner plate. Job done |
