Is your knee good enough to go pillion? Or just go to various local dealers every day and stroke the shiny ones.

Horror! Shocked Couldn't imagine not having a bike at all. How long is your knee out of action for? Couldn't you buy something small and cheap, just so you know there's a bike in the house?

Why not use a couple hundred of that to buy a cat D bike to work on as a project?

assuming you've still got your gear!

Or else you can donate your 1400smackeroos to my triumph restoration fund and I'll send you lots of pics when she's back on the road.

Be at mine for 8:40am for an exciting pillion ride Wink.
Or just take the GSXR for a ride if you want smoothness or the KTM if you want straight-leggedness.

What about some kind of PS3/X-Box biking game? I know when I want to go on a killing spree GTA helps get it out of my system, whilst keeping the general public safe.

GSXR was fine riding home today.
I have to admit, I am slightly tempted to take the KTM tomorrow, as it's already covered in crap etc - suspect for most of the ride to wokr, the GSXR would be better.
Have to check what my tyres are; while the worn rear hasn't been great, the front has managed a few (very slow speed) stoppies and done ok breaking, gripping on some lightly snowed bits nicely when I've tested the braking.

As I keep saying - knobblies a bit better in the actual snow, but a chunk worse on icey stuff - nicely light weight bike, but also harder to get your feet down to the side.

Git. I 'sold' the SV for £800. Still it could have been worse I guess.

Hmm... I have an SV for sale for £1400 if you're interested? Wink

<serious bit>
Anyway in all seriousness, you aren't missing ANYTHING at the moment. Its definitely not biking weather, unless your doing a 'Being John Malkovitch' in G's head.

DO NOT MAKE A RASH DECISION AND BUY ANOTHER BIKE. Think long and hard about what you want and why. It wouldn't do any harm to wait until your leg is better before making a decision. I find myself falling into the trap of what I shall now call 'Autotrader syndrome' all the time. I know for a fact you are a fellow sufferer (although judging from the diesel escort thread in Random Banter, I'd guess Robby is worse). So take your time, think what you want from a bike and perhaps save some cash. £2k will get you an excellent bike of almost any type. Don't spunk your money on something that will just be a shelf until your tendons heal.

Remember kids, bikes aren't like lego. You can't easily take a part from one bike and then fit it to another.
