Anyone got the latest 'bike' mag?

They tested out the S1000RR and put it on a dyno, the engine had only done 400 miles and it put out 30bhp more than an 1198s and an RSV4. It put out 183.7bhp @ 13,200rpm! Wink

Just thought someone would like to know Laughing

Is that more powerful than an MV Agusta F4 1000?

Yes. MVs make about 170-175bhp.

The BMW measured 184bhp on Bike's dyno.

I thought the 312R thingy was the one but then I realised the BMW is the most powerful and the MV is still the fastest Wink

Manufacturers' claimed crank performance figures don't count.

I reckon a fully-specced one would make a decent commuter, especially for winter.
Hoping some people buy them, then get caught out, realising the fancy electronics don't actually mean they can ride like Rossi, leaving some cheap crash-damaged bikes around Smile.

no. Similarly the Boss Hoss. They aren't 'production' bikes. They are low volume bikes.

Hang on a sec, when the Aprilia RSV4 was first launched wasn't there a 225bhp version or something like that? I'm sure I read it somewhere.

The WSB spec Factory bike is only about 210bhp.

Both the RSV4 and Factory models are around 155bhp at the wheel.

About £11,200 or £12,500 with traction control and ABS, which is apparently very worthwhile.

There won't be much scope for haggling for a while - my local dealer has apparently already taken orders and deposits for more than it's initial quota of 30 bikes and they won't be delivered until March. Might even be the chance of a little profit as people did with the R8 when that first came out.
