Diora Boots

I'm in the market for some new boots. Been riding in hiking boots for the past 2 years and they are the most comfortable shoes ive ever owned and feel plenty sturdy.

I have tried a few pairs of £50-£100 bike boots and they all feel flimsy and like they offer less protection that my hiking boots do.

Ive also got really skinny feet and legs so to be honest my feet were just rattling around in the boots I tried on.

Can anyone reccomend a pair of budget boots which also feel pretty sturdy?

Also I have seen a few pairs by Diora but cant find any info on them anny reccommendations?

You sure its not diadora? They got into boots a couple of years back, not had any to test though so cant say if they are any good.

Yeah evoboy's right, I meant the Diora.

I think I have posted this post the wrong way round and should have started by asking if anyone can suggest a pair of bike boots which do not feel flimsy and crap which we under £100 and are suitable for walking in.

Being like yourself I ride in hiking boots as I find walking round in bike boots for a length of time make my feet ache, although the two times I've bought motorcycle boots I've had a difference of opinions...

The first pair I bought were all singing all dancing Alpinestars, they were comfortable, but they fell apart within six months ( May have been my heavy handedness, I pulled the actual zip clean out ) so they went the way of the bin...

The second pair I bought were a cheap pair of Nitro boots for about 30 quid, they were suprisingly comforatable on and off the bike, the only niggle I had with them was due to the velcro weather strip over the zip, half way down it was cut into a ' V' and it'd cause the sides of the ' V ' to bulge out, causing the one boot to catch the other as you walked, due to that and still prefering the hiking boots I gave them away after wearing them about eight/nine times...

I've tried both ( Hiking/bike boots ) at rallies and the bike boots didn't fare aswell as the hiking boots due to rain, snow, wind, shit, sick, snot, piss, wading, mud and generally being thrown at my stupid mate at silly 0'Clock in the morning for jumping in or on my tent whilst he was arseholed...

All in all, I'll stick with my hiking boots, although six of my fellow ralliers all wear and swear by German Para boots, I haven't tried a pair myself as yet, as watching my mate trying to get in his at four in the morning to go for a piss and falling over the tent ropes because he's forgot how laces work have slightly put me off, I'll stick with the lower ankle boots I have...

EDIT, Just thought Puma are coming down in price, I think I've seen them for just over 100 quid, and I believe they are a decent make of boots...

Cheers guys, the Altberg boots look great and they are based in Richmond where one of my mates from uni lives. A bit over my price range but they seem exactly what I'm looking for and I wouldnt mind paying £180 for a pair of boots which is custom made and I know will last many years. £180 is as much as a lot of mid range bike boots anyway.

Once the weather gets a bit warmer I might have to take a run up to Richmond to visit my mate and get myself measured.

The Puma ones also look like they might give a pretty good fit I'll have to have a look round for some.

I have a pair of those Diora boots, had them about 18 months. They arent fantastic quality. The soles have now worn out and leather split so I'll be looking for a new pair soon

There are many companies that can provide a variety of boot shoes according to measurement your supplied. I tried to use boot shoes,then it gave me fabulous. I feel taller in these shoes, just like some elevator shoes that make me higher.
