Hi there.

I few months ago I was convicted with dangerous driving on my bike (unfairly I might add) and am curious if I have to restest both my bike and car licenses or is it just one and the other is automatically given back on passing the selected license or have I got it all wrong?

Cheers

Steve

Thanks for the answer.

Since you asked:) I was videoed by an un-marked police bike filtering professionally and undertaking (5 times) plus speeding up to 130MPH on a dual carriageway although the road was clear when I did so. If you would like I will PM you the link to download the video so long as you offer feedback?

If you've already been convicted then the video can't harm you.

Exactly, there is no harm at all in posting it now.

From your description I am outraged, no way what you did can be a criminal offense. Maybe due care and attention charge...

They don't care much for circumstance speeding kills kittens.

You only have to do one of your tests, then you'll get your license back with all the different categories you had before. Thumbs Up

As opposed to filtering in an amateur fashion!? Sounds like you were being a dick quite frankly and got what you deserved. However I'd be interested in seeing the video...

I think, were you to be filtering to levels of a police rider (who is a 'professional' at riding to a high standard) this would easily be a justified claim.

Actually G, i dont think the police do or are able to filter to the same level as someone quick and with a disregard for traffic laws and decency on a sportsbike.

That has been my experience.

What they consider filtering (blues and twos) is not what the rest of us would, they get the moses affect of the cars parting.

Plus the width of their bikes.

Not to say the riders couldent keep up off duty on their own machine but in their police capacity without blue lights theres no chance tbh

I dare say I could filter the tdm quicker than the fuzz on a pan euro or similar those mirrors make them very wide, althought the TDM is big it's very tall but fairlly skinny and can get places that a big ol police bike couldn't.

I'd tend to agree - but that's the sort of argument that would hold in court or for someone who thinks filtering in general was terribly dangerous etc Smile.

When I did the Bike Safe in London they still did filter through stationary and slow moving traffic and in some cases got through the traffic in a more 'enthusiastic' manner than I was expecting (75 in a 50, cutting at the last moment to the filter lane etc.)

How did you get a hold of the video evidence?

There is a certain point in the OPs grammar that convinces me it's not tony. I won't disclose what it is because then tony will be able to change that trait next time he creates a sockpuppet account.
