I agree.

I've put it in my favourites, The part with the little kids waving then you just fall off had me in stitches.

I wondered if someone would accuse me of that, three people did with the 40mph wet bridge crash vid....So I'm not surprised.

I must admit I did really consider lobbing it on purpose a few times, but trust me even at those low speeds it can still hurt.

And in those crashes I broke both my boots and my camera.

I'd never lob it on purpose, levers are expensive.

Scouts honour.

Oh sorry.

WTF? ...a video of some blokes crap riding ability?

I was doing a 30 mile round trip to work last year on my gixer in conditions like that and didn't drop it once. He's obviously binning it on purpose... just seems incredibly pointless

It's easier off road
I love nothing more than thrashing my MX bike around an MX course in the snow.

I'd love to post a video but I don't do pointless knee down ^^^^ / wheelie showing off pics so certainly ain't gonna be two faced and do showing off riding videos

So I said:

Sven wrote:

You far from Brighton?

I got two bikes.

I'll have a £100 bet that you fall off more than 5 times in TWO lanes.

I'm good for the money, genuine bet. Choice of DT 125 trail wings or KTM 450 EXC or your own bike (no studs)

Only proviso: The camera will be running

I don't mind armchair critics at all, I'm well versed in being called many names. But I laugh at your comments more than I laugh at myself falling off.

Come on, earn a tonne!

AND

sven wrote:

Infact I'd even up the offer if you don't fall off ONCE (or drop bike):

£500 one way bet (you pay me nothing if you lose)

Except if you lose you must link to the resulting video from your forum signature with the anchor text "I got bitch slapped by Sven"

It'd only work if you came tomorrow though, so the conditions are the same and it's fair.

FIVE HUNDRED NICKER?

MRBrightside knows I'm good for the money.

Genuine 100% serious bet.

I'll even have a bacon buttie waiting for you when you arrive. Fair deal!

Critic wrote:

Well I would and honestly I would take you up on that (don't take my posts too much to heart, I'm a sarcy bugger is all) but I'm currently recovering from my 8th operation in 4 months after a bad accident in a lorry and doing rehab to teach me how to walk again so riding is def out for a while

I love armchair critics hiding behind their monitors.

I went out on the xr the first day after the deep snow, it was really crazy. I only rode about a mile off road and i was nackered. I didn't drop the bike though but came close plenty of times.

I do agree with you though, the soft, untouched snow is a little easier to ride on, apart from you can't tell whats under it.

You gave me the moniker of "mentalface Doug" in one of your videos.

Can I humbly suggest that you take on the "mentalface" tag for yourself now?

Well holy crap that was awesome. More awesome than the video I posted up with my two off's in the snow. After my first two though I learned that really the only way to ride is to ski, didn't you find this?

I'm serious, you wear sturdy boots and you drag / slide your soles along the snow / tarmac and every time my bike twitched (back or front) my feet managed to stabilise it. This way I was riding at 40MPH filtering past slow moving cars on the same icy roads I was falling off at 10MPH before! Thumbs Up

I caught some of my snow filtering on video but was too short really to justify me uploading a whole other video.

Skiing isn't an option in some of that really deep stuff. Only a complete maniac would try to ride in a foot and more of (and I quote) 'virgin snow' Laughing
