Your bank should be able to see if the money has been received by his bank. If it has then he needs to ring his bank and ask where it is Razz

I bet they're sitting on it for interests.

Also don't you have "fast transfer" in your online bank?

I can transfer up to £200 online a day and the person receives it within an hour.

If you have an online account, then you should have access within that site to send them an email direct. I usually find emailing my bank gets me a quicker response than trying to ring.

I tried mine, all i got told was it can be up to 2 weeks before money is received in some cases. Looking on the web suggests 5 business days which it clearly has been. Im stuck on what to do here?

i sat in queues and then it cuts off, so im emailing now, and ill call again tomorrow morning.

Edit, just got through on the phone - They said it had been sent from this end, and the receiver needs to check with their bank.

Im still not happy though, i think theyre fobbing me off because they dont know?

Edit #2 - Just called again and got through to somebody else, Verified all the details of what i inputted, And its all correct...

they are going to trace it from their end, but the payment DID go via faster transfer, so should have gone very quick, the payment would have instantly bounced back if there was a problem

Faster payment should be there in under 2 hours. Thankfully i can transfer upto 10K via faster payments Mr. Green
Great for moving savings around for best rates. Thumbs Up

I notice that A few banks are in the dog house over faster payments.....
Including one of the founder members who have yet to get their system up and runing.....
Strange how some have such low limits.... Seems they should be having a kick up the backsides and ALL play to the same limit.

Could be that the person you are paying is having problems and the money is sat in a internal account.

My wages get paid from an RBS business account into my Halifax; never taken more than a few minutes since faster payments launched. Nationwide wrote out saying they were introducing it in stages and would write out again; never happened! I also know Abbey introduced their new system about a year ago but........

I transfer board to my stepmum every week via internet banking. It used to take 2 or 3 days generally then all of a sudden one week, it went over instantly.

Was confused until i noticed it was under FPO (faster payments outgoing) rather than a normal transfer. Cool

Faster payments doesnt necessarily mean it's faster.

I'ts not unknown for faster payments to take longer than normal ones. Go figure.
