A bit like the other topic but heres a key chain camera. It's about the same size as an alarm fob. Takes MicroSD cards, charges by USB, 720x480 res, battery lasts about an hour. Quality is quite good for what it is imo but file sizes are very big, you are looking at just over 4GB an hour, so will need atleast a 4GB card (Play.com for about ?6 delivered, Class 2 cards are fine too)

I got mine from this guy: https://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=150390366510

Maybe able to get it cheaper if you hunt around.

Now heres the important part. DO NOT BUY ONE WITH 8GB BUILT IN they have fake memory and will most likely break very quickly plus the quality is a lot worse. Ones with 720x480 res and a MicroSD slot is the way to go.

This site has LOADS of info, The link I posted is a #3 camera. #1's are the crap ones. https://www.chucklohr.com/808/

Can be attached most places, usually fits quite nicely between the helmet/cheek pads or attached to the bike with velcro/tape. Although I would suggest 3M Dual Lock, it's much much better https://shop.ebay.co.uk/i.html?_nkw=3m+dual+lock&_frs=1&_sop=15&_trksid=p3286.c0.m359

The quality with the #1 camera is awful. Very jerky. The #3 isn't bad for the size of the device, but the AOV ranges from 36° to 44° which isn't that good.

It's not perfect but what is at £8.20 delivered Smile

Seen quite abit of footage from #1 and tbh it's not -that- bad, but #3 is much better so that's gotta be a plus Cool

My fake MD80 was only £11. Still waiting for it to arrive though. Ordered it 2 weeks ago Sad

It think it shares the same hardware as the fake MD80's, well the quality is the same and has the same date stamp.

I won an auction. They go very cheaply. I put my bid in about 5 minutes before the end as there are loads constantly finishing. Just search for MD80 on eBay and look for the lowest priced ones.

I think the postman attempted to deliver it today but I missed him by 15 minutes.

I got one of the £8.20 'key chain' ones.

Some example footage: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vVKeKdCQB2U

Not great, but pretty good for £8.20 I reckon!
Youtube/imovie has actually made the footage a bit worse than the original was.

That footage is pretty amazing considering the cost/size of the camera.

These little cams are ridiculously good value and ideal for on-bike filming. Think I might have to get one, so I can inflict footage of me thrashing the old fossil through the rush hour traffic on YouTube Laughing

Here's some footage taken at night:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3p6OHH3ELdE
(It says it's still encoding when I posted this, so you may need to wait for it to finish to get a bit better quality.)

Note that the weird patterns that come in fairly soon I presume are from the heavy fog leaving water on the lens.

I assume you're cropping the video to remove the time and date.

Interesting, not me that's removed them.
I suspect it's [spits] imovie on the Mac - may have been youtube.

They are there on the originals.

Didn't realise you were using a Mac.

For some reason the time and date stamp doesn't show up when the video is downloaded onto a Mac.

As per my edit, they are there when viewed in quick time from the original file.
Looking at imovie, they are there on the 'in' bit, but it has re-cropped for the 'out' (it also stole my files and put them somewhere else, somewhere I can't 'cut'/move them from, which angered me.)

That's extremely good. Especially how you can actually record night time footage!

Will be buying one when money allows.

G. I will always continue to love your random wheelies. Laughing

Me, my dad and my dad's mate got 1 each about 2 months ago,.. the one's that need a seperate memory stick.

My dad actually got both models (for geeky comparisons etc), the frame rate on the 'internal memory' one was apauling.
He went in town mid-day once and recorded 1 or 2 bits with the other that needs a memory card, the picture was true to real life, colours spot on, brilliant fps rate and coped really well with sudden movement, no jerking or 'brightness' while it adjusted to chnges in light.

The only issue with 'em(ext mem 1's) is that indoor's they are about as good as a crap camera phone, although if you've got it well lit it should mange fine. IIRC we got ours from www.dealextreme.com but they were quite popular backin October/November time, I've only used mine once and it sit's on the mantel peice... my key bunch has too much on. Embarassed Laughing

First one I used a bit of tape on the rear of the gsxr.
The keyring it's self nicely looped over a bolt sticking out of the rear fairing under the pillion seat, held on by the pillion seat.
The second one I taped onto the seat for the quick release tripod mount on my KTM.

Welcome to borrow mine for a play mol - but probably cost you as much in petrol to get it as to buy one yourself Smile.

I watched a video (posted in the other thread) and the guy said that if you put them on a Mac first it removed the time and date so I assume that's what it had done with yours.
