Hi
I've found a bike at the other end of the country.

The owner is on the oil rigs.
What's the best way to proceed with sale and money transfer (it's not on ebay and it's a private sale)

The bike would have to be something special to have that large a round trip. How certain are you it's the bike you want?

Take cash, train up, ride back. Ask him if he's willing to knock off the price of a return train ticket. If you go up and find it's a dog, at least you've got a ride home.

Post on here and ask someone in the local area to go and have a look. Ask them to check it out and to take lots and lots of pictures on maximum camera resolution from all angles. Bung em £20 via paypal for doing so.

That way they get £20 , you get the bike your interested in checked out and you get lots and lots of high res pictures so you can be sure.

Your still going to have to go up to get it, but you should be happier.

When I sold my last bike, I must have sent potential buyers 20-30 high res pictures from all angles. Its the fairest way of doing business.

Note there's another thread on here about a scammer claiming to be on an oil rigs - take extreme caution!
