Halfords are selling 250g for £2.50 and 1kg for £7.

Not sure if your local store will have it but mine did so I'll be stocking up.

Usually pretty cheap for a big box(even less if you can get them at work ) and saves you from removing half your epidermis with cleaning products and grit.

They sell the smooth swarfega in poundland as well - there national aren't they? Use that and a small scrubbing brush and does a good job.

As Silky said, fairy liquid and sugar.

Doing it this way you can make a few different batched for really horrible syuff like dry grease or a light one for fresh oil.
We use it all the time when working away, or if you want to be posh get the Linx Snake peel.

I got a jug of the stuff from costco for under a fiver, not sure how big but it's the same size as a 4-5 litre jug for under a fiver, definately cheaper than fairy liquid and sugar, better too.
