phone all the freephone numbers in the back of MCN, it takes time to get a quote for something different, MCE are good, my mate just spent a whole day trying to insure his hayabusa as it has a proper garrett turbo fitted, quotes came down from £4750 then £1250 TPFT and eventually £550 comp, age wasn't the problem!

I think the key is to phone as many different places as possible. The times you spend on the phone will be worth it as quotes vary massively and if you look hard enough you can get some real bargain.
Problem is, an insurance company may quote cheap for one thing but be very expensive for something else so there aren't any shortcuts I'm afraid. The compare sets can be a useful start but if your bike doesn't come up on them then there is nothing you can do but phone.

Hello having owned one of these at 16 and driven it on a CBT the best place to phone is MCE.

Ring them up for a bike insurance quote and once you get to speak to a human ask to be put through to chap called DAN PERKINS.

I only ever get my insurance through him and at 16 on a CBT the quote came down £300 just by speaking to him as would not accept that it was the cheapest quote on insurance system until it really was ridiculously low.

Used MCE ever since and I save hundreds of pounds by getting put through to him each time. They definately 100% insure ape's.

Did my Piaggio ape up from an absolute wreck and if you need any advice or info on where to get cheaper parts just post it up and will help you as best I can.

Cheers,
Chloe x[/code]
