Looking for a 125, mainly for the other half who just did her CBT...
She likes the look of the Derbi Mulhacen..

Ive been reading.. im sure the limit for CBT is 125 with no more than 14.6hp.
Does this count as out of the running? single cylinder 4 stroke 125..

Hi

Learner limit is 11kW (which is about 14.7hp). So comes down to whether the Derbi power claims are vaguely accurate (I would ignore the ones in the Ebay advert). As such I would be pretty sure it is learner legal (no company is going to remove 99% of the market for 125s for the sake of 0.3hp that the other 1% of the market wouldn't care about).

All the best

Keith

Nah thats fine. The power figure sounds like its rounded up anyway. I'd be surprised if it made anything more than about 13bhp at the crank, let alone at the wheels.

Remember kids, bikes aren't like lego. You can't easily take a part from one bike and then fit it to another.

The Ebay add lists it as 14.7kW and then calculates the 20hp from that. Suspect they have their units totally mixed up (and no doubt someone will take that 20hp, randomly decide it is kW and so come up with another figure of 27hp).

All the best
