Looking for advice on a good place to get my Aprilia RSV-R serviced somewhere close by. Anyone got any experiences to share? I don't know of any!
Also on a separate but related note... what sort of price should I be looking to pay? Bike is on around 18k miles now and the last service was done at 14.2k on 04/06/08. It'll be the 9th service since new. Not sure exactly what work that means needs doing! (ideas?).
Thanks . ____________________ :: Honda XR 125 L ('53) => Kawasaki GPZ 500S ('02) => Suzuki SV650S ('00) => Aprilia RSV-R ('51) :: |

Minor service.. good news then! Rear shock (Ohlins) was rebuilt before I bought it but the fork seals will probably need doing since it's been stood a few months now (notorious for going on these forks if not used regularly). I could get it done at a local garage I suppose.. do you think they'd be fine with things like valve clearances etc if they need doing even if it was, for example, a Kawasaki dealer? ____________________ :: Honda XR 125 L ('53) => Kawasaki GPZ 500S ('02) => Suzuki SV650S ('00) => Aprilia RSV-R ('51) :: |

Try Here Given your location West Yorks would be the best option.
Personally just because they are a franchise dealer, does not mean good service....
Find a good local repair shop and stick to them. ____________________ Just because my bike was A DIVVY, does not mean i am...... |

Not sure if the 02 has all the same gadgetry/set up as the later models but if it does you really should take it to a main dealer in my opinion.
Theyre not the easiest of bikes to work on even for experienced bike fettlers as ive found out myself on more than one occasion.Certain tools and knowledge are needed to do a proper job.
Actually, quite a lot of the main dealers dont even know what theyre doing 100% when it comes to apes.Theyre constantly going on training courses for servicing apes and if you ring them up with questions a lot of the time they have to go off and read a manual first, check online, or call aprilia themselves for answers |
