Hornet with Clip ons?

Anyone know how easy it would be to fit clip-ons to a Hornet or have picures of one with them?

I'm considering getting one but I'm more used to a sportsbike riding position and don't like the high handlebars at all. Thing is there's not many naked bikes that have clip ons these days; there used to be more about like the CB1, Bros, Goose or grey import Bandit 400 but I'm at a bit of a loss as to what else I can get for under a grand in the "modern cafe racer" style I'd quite fancy one of the 400s again but they're pretty rare so I was considering a Hornet.

Tbh, I'd say give the high bars a go. I went form a Hornet to an NC30 and not sure which I prefer... I guess it depends how I'm riding

Should be pretty simple to fit. Undo fork bolts, move forks down enough to put the clip-ons in, slip clip-ons in, move forks back, do fork bolts!

At least that's how I understand it (Make sure you get the correct size!) Should be a simple enough job to do. Will also be "modding"() my top yoke to remove the sticky out bits for the handlebar

I'm just wondering if it would look a little odd on that bike

I've had high bars on a couple of bikes and curently I've got my XT350 as my only bike and although I can appreciate the leverage and the straighter back etc. I definitely prefer the clip ons. They just feel a lot more natural when I'm going for it down a twisty road

Maybe I should stick some on the XT? That would certainly be unique

As above, should be easy.
Sometimes see people sticking clip-ons on dirt bikes when they're trying for some odd speed record.
Or, of course, for that single cylinder racing class they run now based on 450cc mx bikes.

Post on the nest website but I seem to remember someone mentioning problems with this mod, and in my opinion the Hornet with renthals has the best riding position I have seen, looks nice and is comfy over long distances. But all this depends on how small and flexible you are.

Not sure how it'd look, but it can't be that bad. It's got the cigarette lighter lamp for starters

Only thing I'd be worried about is if the clip-ons hit the tank

Just noticed your after a CB-1 or similar, I'll ask a guy who I know has one, he might be willing to get rid of it for some benjamins

It's a abit bet the top yoke from a similar year of cbr600f would fit with the clip ons.failing that you can get some that clampe to the forks.

People have fitted clip ons to XJRs. What about ultra low Renthals? (I realise they're not clip ons).

Slightly raised clipons, like on a CBR6f would probably work quite well, although you'd probably need to change the top yoke, and slide the forks up an inch or so as well.

Under-the-yoke clipons, I think yould be crippling, and likely hit the tank far too easily. The bike in that link looks it has a good setup. I'm curious as to what those forks and yoke are from. (Or do hornets have adjustable forks?)
