So who has owned or ridden one?

Going to take one for a test ride when I get the chance but unfortunately my nearest KTM dealer is a bit of a mission away. Every review and opinion on the web is positive with owners telling people to ditch their sports bike in favor of the KTM, the only niggle I have come across is the small tank range on the <07. I would be interested in any good or bad experiences people have had with the bike?

I am weighing up the KTM with a Street Triple R as I'm looking to get a new bike in the coming months.

I've got the 950SM, (yes i know it is different but engine is still fundamentally the same), the niggle i had with mine was the clutch slave cylinder going (twice Evil or Very Mad ) but apparently it is a known issue, (see https://www.ktm950.info/)

but i have to say i really enjoy mine it has a lovely bottom end kick, and whilst geared to 135 can really only hit 90 (gets too uncomfortable) which is a real licence saver.

considering the riding position and the fact i'm 6'2 means i get more wind protection on the dommie (predominately cause on that i can hook my feet onto the pillion pegs and flatten myself to the tank)
