I have a lumber pain since last July. It was once cured but recently it's getting worse. I think it's because I ride much recently.
Not sure if riding posture is bad for pain or getting cold is bad.
Do you have lumber pain? How do you cope with that?

I get it sometimes - apparently, at least in my case, it's caused by one of the discs between my vertebrae bulging outwards too much. This presses on the nerves that make up the spinal cord and causes pain - one time it even made my legs go from under me, a sort of flash paralysis.

I find making sure I lift things properly helps prevent it - but I have to be really careful about it. Also once it's happened, I can usually ease it a lot by bending backwards. Sounds odd, but it helps compress the bulging disc back into between the vertebrae where it's supposed to be.

The best way to do this is lie on your back with the arm of a sofa or an armchair right on the sore bit, and relax. You're spine will naturally bend in the right direction. It's pretty sore so I kind of ease into the bend. Works wonders, though.

Impossible to give advice on this really, everyone is different and a wrong move with back pain can ruin your life. The two times i suffered bad, I went to osteopath. First guy was so good and helped a lot, second did nothing. The key (for me) is to excercise and stretch a lot and never, never, ever take pain killers.

Thanks for your advises.
Mine was not vertebrae problem, and it was diagnosed as lumbosacral strain.(caused by filming sports game standing).
Doctor told me
-I sit in front of PC too long watching BCF
-I don't walk enough
-I should do some exercise
so
I bought better business chair for my room
I started walking for 10 minutes before supper
I started 10 minutes exercise before lunch

I have a corset made by the doctor. With wearing corset, I feel good. But at the same time, wearing corset all the time will lose your muscle. I didn't wear corset while riding but I'll try it.

This gets me bad. I love my PC, I do lots on it, but it creases my (lower) back. Best thing I can do is walk the dogs and use my sit up bench. The curved kind like this. The less time spent at the PC the better for me.

I've found swimming is good for the PC slouch, you get your back muscles strengthened and a lot of stretching exercises in one go. It should appeal to you as you get to see lots of naked legs, too Wink

Regarding the cold, it might be worth investing in a kidney belt if you don't want to wear the corset.
