This makes sense... In a shop the other day I caught a glimpse of headlines saying "Police Choppers scrapped due to funding cuts".....

This UAV business would explain why choppers funding is being lost....

Well this is worrying Confused

One document lists "[detecting] theft from cash machines, preventing theft of tractors and monitoring antisocial driving" as future tasks for police drones, while another states the aircraft could be used for road and railway monitoring, search and rescue, event security and covert urban surveillance.

Antisocial driving? Are they going to hear the bass bins from 20,000ft up?

as long as they arent equipped with missiles, I'm fine. If it puts a few overpaid police helicopter pilots out of a job, all the better.

True, they'd be much quieter than helicopters as well, so when the chavscum in the neighbouring estate are racing cars at 3 in the morning I won't be woken up by the twin turbine wankers hovering overhead for two hours.

If they're not careful then there's allot of people who have been practicing at shooting these things down recently.
I can see the likes of Luke etc trading in their tresixtay pad for a rifle...

not surpising as the uk is the most cctv'd country in the world. there's literally 100's of public and PRIVATE organisations and businesses that can watch your every move under anti-terrorist laws lol! police can also remotely hack into your pc WITHOUT any sort of court order like they'd need to get for a search warrant.

How the hell do you take them down without proper triple A?

20,000 feet is about 3.8 miles, or so the internets tells me, which is quite a major ask to take out a tiny drone...

Ah fuck... why would you do this?
...Ok, well they have to get up there first, I suggest a game of domination on the factory, deploy sites and HQ. Mr. Green

Just think of them as big expensive clays.. Laughing

Or.....

Are there any birds that fly that high? We could enlist their help to peck at the UAV until it falls down....

Sadly though I think countermeasures, of whatever kind, are a better use of time than trying to deny the pigs the skies.

Construct a giant parabolic mirror, that will focus a strong beam approximately 10ft wide at 4 miles.
Wait for exceptionally sunny day.
Scope out UAV with telescope.
Aim.
????
Profit.
