I would suggest that you use Danny's insurance finding service as he will either find you cheaper insurance or he doesn't charge you. Not a bad deal at the end of the day.
A £1000 for a 50cc does sound quite a lot for TPFT cover, but it depends on stuff like how old you are, what experience you have, what type of area you live in, is the bike garaged, does the bike have any security at all and do you plan on using the bike for commuting. It's not worth not telling the truth on this stuff as if you claim it's garaged then it gets nicked from the road outside your house you're stuffed. |

Well you'll get stupidly high quotes if you use the websites. Get a copy of biketrader and ring all the places in the back of it. Yes it will take time, but time is money. Once you've got the best quotes, ring around between the good ones saying "Can you beat this quote of £xxx which I have got from ABC?" and you know you've got a cheap as it will go when they all turn around and say "No we can't, you should go with that quote". Or save time and pay Danny £30 and he'll do it for you (I should send Danny an advertising bill ), but seriously he has saved a lot of people lots of money so it's worth doing, as what do you have to lose? |
