Similar thing happened to a friend of mine, however, he did not lose the key... He was pick-pocketed . He didn't realise until he got home (he had gone on the train to some nearby city, hence why he wasn't stranded with the bike) so had no idea where he lost it. Turns out his home and contents replace vehicle keys to the value of ?300 quid, or failing that will replace the locks up to a value of ?1200 with a 50quid excess. Now obviously he had to get a crime number and make a proper claim, which if he hadn't been pick-pocketed, would've been insurance fraud... But still, might be worth checking the small print to see if your contents insurance covers loss of keys rather than theft. ____________________ 1977 Honda CG125
