with things like the fixed peak wouldnt it do some serious damage to your neck if you came off and rolled,

rather than breaking or giving it would snap your neck.

looks impressive tho !

I don't think that it's meant to be worn. Wink

I don't think it's been designed to wear. I'm guessing it's just a technical exercise to show how good their CNC machine is.

That's the first thing to have me fascinated at this monitor in a long while. Surprised

Would it be the same Matt? down to level of detail etc?

Laughing Laughing
do any of you even know what an imperial capstan is?

imperial: measurement. as opposed to metric

capstan: type of lathe used for small batch productions because it can use multiple tools

the video: is using a CNC milling machine.

it would be impossible to make that helmet on a lathe.

As robotics pervert, that is SiCk!!!!!!!ONELEVEN!
The way the base plate rotates and the drill compensates to keep everything aligned miillimeter perfect is stunning. That helmet could be made by many CNC machines, but that one is amazing.

Could you give a machine like that a big block of oak and get it to make your furniture for you?

I think with the amount of threads recently had their attention diverted to girls I can see a thread cropping up soon.
