How about just a generic inline filter?

Try phoning any proper Yamaha dealer near you https://www.yamaha-motor.co.uk/dealerlocator/?mm4=GB and ask them to order part number 55K-24515-01 (comes up as '.NET FILTER 2'). I've used Woodford Motorcycles for this sort of thing and if they don't have the part in stock, they'll get it from Yamaha directly for you. Thumbs Up

Ah right, didn't realise they were generic. Never changed a filter before so assumed it was a model specific component.

Cheers Karma

Haha must be a fluke... Before you order it, you could try cleaning the old one, I just replied to your other thread about it. Also see how the engine runs with the fuel cap off in case it's something as simple as the breather hole in the cap being blocked (use a pin to unclog it). The only other thing to do with the tank would be the inlets for reserve/main being clogged although it would need to be something big/nasty to do that!

Yeah i've looked into fuel filter problems and almost every site I have been on has explained every issue i've been having. It's such a horrible feeling when your bike starts playing up! Anyway thanks again mate. I'll take a look at the other thread now.

Old Thread Alert!

The last post was made 16 years, 9 days ago. Instead of replying here, would creating a new thread be more useful?
