Right, now that the snows gone and the sun is starting to come out. I've decided to go back to wearing my leathers instead of my textiles once more. Downside is I've lost a bit of weight over the christmas period and now the leathers are hanging off of me.

Any ideas about how to get them to fit again without me putting weight back on or wearing layers?

Many thanks, Michael

You could wear a rucksack inside the leathers to pad out the body and carry something. Same with various types of body armour.

You could use expanding foam to fill the voids.
Or as Alexio mentioned strap rucksacks to yourself.

You can get leathers professionally altered.
Not sure on cost. Guess it depends if you are still losing weight or not. If not then get them altered to fit better

Poorly fitting leathers dont tend to be a good idea. Smile

Or sell them, and buy some that fit.

I'm loving the expanding foam idea, the backpack probably wouldn't work too well as I have a back protector fitted inside the jacket and I'm too chicken to find out if it will work with a rucksack stuffed into the jacket. Although I'm now going to look at some of the lumbar protectors and the padded shorts. So at least they'll pad me out and make me slide better!

Although about if anyone knows anywhere I can get them altered on the south coast (I'm living in Brighton) that'll be great.

I'm wanting to try to adjust them before I sell them on and buy new ones, Who would have thought losing weight would have caused all these problems?

Get a puppy and stuff that inside. It'll take up the slack and keep you warm. Thumbs Up

Heat it up? Would be very hard to control how much the leather contracts though.

How the hell did you do that? Shocked! You git... I envy you - I'm still struggling to loose the extra 7lbs put on over Christmas, swimming 100 lengths a week, walking to work, not eating much.... nothing is working! Guess that's what happens when you turn 30 Laughing

You could wear a jumper underneath, it's still cold out there. If you plan to keep the weight off then I'd suggest you flog your leathers and buy some more that fit.... nothing worse than leathers that don't fit probably Smile Wink

I keep being told by just about everyone I know that my eating habits are incredibly unhealthy (and normally in a voice that suggests death is imminent) but I wouldn't really call it very difficult. I end up fasting quite a lot recently, mostly because of the lack of money to buy enough food, and you would be surprised just how easy it is to either get used to skipping meals or just eat small portions (it's only hard for a couple of days).

Not everything works for everybody, but reducing your calorie intake combined with the kind of exercise you're doing really should have a profound impact if you do it right.
