As long as you don't press too hard, or use a too big drill bit or have the drill speed too high/low then you should be fine whichever side you drill the thing from.
I've drilled the plates on my bike before, can't remeber which side I did it from I've never had any problems and I'm fairly sure I won't have done the all from the same side. Try it from one way and let us know how it goes. Even if it does make a small mark around the hole on the front of the plate the screwhead will be there to cover it up anyway.
And it's not that critical how neat and tidy the drilling on your plate it... or is it?  |

Where can i get a custom plate made up, every where round here only sells the standard size plate which is way to big for my bike and is in the way of the new micro indicators. ____________________
