okay bearing in mind that i dont like race reps, should i get rid of my CB250 and get a Z650 around january? 400 quid insurance, about a grand for the bike, and as we all know restrictors have a little habit of falling out.

big, old , heavy, and very pretty. lots of torque too.

hmm...classic retro looks...not my current cup o' tea...but if you can find one, then go for it!...65 horses should keep you happy for another year or so Wink

Insurance sounds reasonable, but what year do you think you will go for?...

early eighties, probably around 83. with that not only do i get classic insurance, but in a couple of years it'll go tax exempt as well.

yeh, 65 horses, no much by modern standards but these old kawasakis have so much torque and bottom end grunt that is doesn't matter... real men ride kawasakis.

kawasaki Z650F. i think thats the latest (best) of the bunch. i also considered a 750, but with that i'd get stung on insurance.

Go for it mate. Great bikes. I was tempted by one myself not long ago!

They make good streetfighters, although they are really quite heavy!! Nice and torquey though.

Hi

Nice enough old style bike, and fairly tough I think. However it wont go tax exempt as there is no rolling exemption anymore. However, you will get classic insurance on it if it is not your main bike

All the best

Keith
