Fitted my belly pan to my hornet.... bodged slightly.

The pics of the blue hornet are mine, focusing on the belly pan and the brackets.
The only worry I have is its a little wobbly and i used one of the bolts at the bottom of the engine to hold the bracket, you will see what i mean in the pictures. Do you think this wil be ok or should i find another mounting point (was the only one i could modify the bracket to reach and fit)

Being pedantic the aluminium bracket might give a false torque reading on the bolt. Being realistic I've done it myself with no ill effects.

Just check the bracket on a regular basis for any stress fractures. Might be better to make them out of something more substantial.

I guess the bellypan didn't come with any instructions or recommendations?

No they didnt, just which brackets go on the front and which ones on the back. Why would and how could it get a different torque reading?
I thought the bolt was literally a bolt holding the bottom of the engine on to the top bit of the engine?....
I am going to look for other brackets that i could use and support else where on the front. Just need to find a bracket.
It was a mission adjusting the brackets and getting the to fit. not sure how equal it is to the other side but it should be ok...right?

Don't worry about it, i once had a belly pan attached by cable ties!

They even held up well in a crash.

Looks like i'll have to use cable ties to fit my bellypan to me bandit too Rolling Eyes

And just to make it slightly more difficult i have crash bungs, so im going to have to cut away at the pan to allow for these Sick
