When VAT was temporarily reduced to 15%, the Chancellor added 2% duty to fuel to offset the reduction in tax collected from motorists. Now that VAT has been increased to 17.5% again this hidden tax has not been removed - hence recent rises in your fuel costs.

Hahha are you that naive? , petitions do not work, if anything a cynic may suggest that they were setup by the UK government as an activism sponge.

Thus people click something thinking it will make a difference when it will not.

Laughing Laughing Laughing Online petitions. Laughing Laughing Laughing

If you care, write to your MP or do something more constructive than making an online petition. If you write to you MP then you'll actually get a proper reply and your MP is more likely to be interested, online petitions just the same answer sent to everyone who signs it, and that is telling you why your idea isn't going to happen. Number 10 online petitions are the biggest waste of time and I really don't understand why people even bother with them anyone as nearly two million people signed the road pricing petition and that was completely ignored.
