Body Piercings - Your Stories [Edit - I did it!!]

I'm considering getting my 11th piercing - my tongue! I'm a bit scared with it being a muscle and everything.

I'm interested to know what body parts people have pierced, and if there are any horror stories to go along with them!

I've had six piercings all together - eyebrow, ear, labret, nipple (x2), and one other

I've only got one left now, no horror stories, just 'occurences':

Eyebrow - loads of Chavs got it done so I took it out
Ear - hole is still there but I don't wear anything in it
Labret - Got bored of it
Nipple X2 - I loved this piercing, one bar horizontal one bar vertical, but my 'mate' gave me a nipple cripple (bastard) and they started to migrate so I had to take them out.
The one other - that's the only one I need!!!!

I think piercings are great, as long as you go to a reputable place and look after them, they should be fine!

Em you may not want to hear this, but...once was snogging someone with a tongue peircing and got it caught between my teeth somehow and managed to yank it a bit when disengaging, causing a fair ammount of bleeding on their part. Luckily the tongue heals really fast.

I cant see the point of it to be honest, ive got nothing against it...but i cant see what function it performs.

I've got five in one ear and two in the other.
I used to have navel and nipples done, but had to take them out when I was pregnant and my nose piercing had to come out when I had my c/section as they needed to put a mask on my face (for anaesthesia, not coz I'm ugly - LOL!)
So now it's just my ears again, but I've got a friend who does piercing so I might start again soon...

As far as horror stories go, I don't have any as it's my friend that does them! But make sure you go to someone you know and trust.

I have my tounge nipple navel conch tragus ear lobe 3 times and ear rim 3 times.

I have had no problems with any of my peircings just make sure you go to a reputable place and follow their instructions.

I feel like I'm in a minority but I just don't 'get' piercings. That doesn't mean I'm 'anti' - anyone is welcome to do to their body whatever they like, I simply just don't understand the desire or fascination.

To me all it is is having holes poked in your body to stick bits of metal in...

To me, it's a kind of 'rite of passage'.
The pain that you go through and the ritual of looking after a piercing so it heals properly is all part of it, and if you're part of a sub-culture where body piercing is popular, it's a kind of badge of membership too.
I do not include the chav eyebrow piercing, etc. in this - if people don't get what it's about they shouldn't do it, IMO.

I have my belly button (on the moment much more painful than any tatoo) and 5 in the left ear, the one in the little triangle in the centre was very very painful for about 3/4 days... like someone punched me very hard!

Very interested in having my tongue done, all I am waiting for is to sign the contract in my new job and pass the probation period then I'll be straight down to the piercing salon.

Cath, did you have problems with your navel when you got pregnant? I have heard horror stories of terrible scars!

PA's do apparently make things better for both, so I'm kinda tempted even though I've never had a piercing and also don't 'get' them.

PA's are handy, you just have to be careful:

1) Some girls love them/some girls think they are disgusting. SO, you won't be able to 'please' all of them.

2) hygiene itself is pretty easy on a PA, every time you go for a pee you'll be cleaning it. Just bath it in some mild salt water for the first couple of weeks. However, PA'a do result in 'dribbling'.

The skin that the piercing goes through is very thin (the underside of your penis) and although will bleed a bit, is not very painful.

If you're tempted for a genital piercing, 'Pubic' piercing are cool, they sit at the top of th penis - they look good and during 'deep penetration' (sorry, i'll keep this tasteful) can be very nice for the lady!

I've got my tongue pierced... It does'nt hurt as much as people say... I've done it 5 years ago.

Be carefull, I've broke all my front teath by playing with it...

I have never had a piercing and will not bother as it will look stupid, and frankly I am scared of some hairy bloke shoving unclean pieces of steel through my skin not bothered about other people having them, and some girls look pretty good with piercings in the right place

i have my lip done, had it for about 2 month now. never had any problems with it other than biteing it a couple of times, but i liek it. its cool

I have had a PA in the past. She used to enjoy it but after a while it started to cause more problems than it were worth, so i took it out an healed up on me.

We broke up so i got it done again, Then got back together an i did the same. Not having it done again, it's going to start looking like swiss cheese, no pun intended .

Tricky business going to the loo with that in. No matter where you point it, never goes where you want it...

I had my tongue pierced for about 2 years, and required 3 filling's pretty much because of it (i was always playing with it)

Had my nipple done and now its all fucked and is tbh massive healed nicely though can still put a ring in it after 4 years of it being out .

Im going to lay off piercing for a while me thinks.

Yay!

I'm so proud of myself. I went to Skin Creations in Macclesfield, all on my own and just went and got it done. I didn't look at the needle, I just told her to get on with it and spare me the details.

It really didn't hurt!! She numbed it so much I could barely feel it.

Now my only problem is speaking (I sound like a retard) and drinking tea is quite difficult. I haven't tried to eat yet....

2 weeks then I can get a small bar put in...thank god for that!

Not being funny karen but that ball is way to big. If you're tounge swells it could dig in and cause you serious amounts of pain and it will smash up you're teeth.
