Today going into work i noticed the bike was shaking from the back, when i got to work i could see that the rear wheel spokes had snapped apx 5 all in different places, i have looked on e-bay for second hand ones and nothing i have rang a few places to repair the snapped ones and they are all saying that they all have to be replaced costing apx 140 pounds a new one from gilera is apx 200 quid..can i not just replace the broken ones myself as the bike is only worth 400 quid in working order, i just wanted the bike to be good for another 9 weeks as i will being doing my das test any help will be appreciated

You have to remember that if 5 have snapped, what condition are the others in?

You could just replace the snapped ones if you are certain the others are ok, but you will probably have to remove them anyway in the process.

Try this place for spokes -
https://www.central-wheel.co.uk/

When you have laced the wheel up it will obviously need trueing, whenever i have done this i have mounted the wheel on a balancer (although any spindle will do, you just want it so it will spin) then i've used a DTI guage to true it up.
Hope that helps Thumbs Up
