What is the differrence between these two types of brake pads?

Is it really worth the price difference getting sintered ones?

Thanks.

sinted pads are better they provide more stopping power, but they do have there down sides...they wear brake discs away much faster than usual, and they only work well when there hot....and trust me when they get wet, like in the rain.....they dont work well at all.

its down to you really....but i personally dont bother

Considering that sintered are double the price and a front brake disc for my bike is £130, I don't think I'll bother.

Thanks!

Ferodo platinums are good pads - Had them on the VX, where they did an admirable job of hauling down 350+ kg on a single disc and 2 pot sliding caliper.

Not sintered, so they work from cold. Work better warm though. Better life than bog stock EBC greens too.

I've just got some cheapo Kyoto £9.99 a pair ones.

They'll do the job.

I've used HH's on on the RF for the last 30k miles - tremendous stopping and the discs are still above the wear limit. Thumbs Up
