Okay,
So i took it apart, i didnt expect any springs and boing,
half of it flew across the room...
After looking at it for a while i figured that this is the most logical way it fits together (but doesnt seem to make sense as to how it works).
Soooo, i put it together and put it back in after cleaning it a little and now the bike doesnt start but does spectacularly backfire occasionally!

Fantastic!

I also made the great decision to change more than one thing at a time, namely i took the air screw out to take to the bike shop (horridly stripped head) and lost count getting it out (bit kept slipping), aannndddd swapped over the exhaust can!

So, swapped the end can back and twiddled the air screw and it still only backfires so i'm guessing its me having put this together in a special fashion and its not working as the bike worked before i took this apart and everything else i'v changed i'v put back.

Here is a picture showing how i assumed it goes together, could anyone varify if this is wrong and how so?

Also i forgot to put the big spring in the picture but i put it in the position 1 in from the left!

Any thoughts would be much appreciated.

Best regards

just read your other post, looks like you took our adivce and took the auto choke apart Wink.

no idea how it goes back together!! but in terms of the mixture screw, i remember you saying about r/c helicopters. same principle as that. screw it all the way in (without forcing) then about 2 and 1/2 turns out. then just make tiny adjustments there, because that will be enough to get it running for sure.

hope this helps.

mmm,
If only it was as simple as a helicopter heh.
I think i'm going to get hold of another auto choke maybe with a new carb. I'v spent so long on this and the carb is only around 30 bucks. Hopefully that will be setup in a ballpark range Smile

Cheers for the advice there though !

Valuable lesson learnt, always expect at least one mental spring in there somewhere to make everything explode appart heh!

Best regards
