Hi i recently had a problem riding my Suzuki ts125r (92) back through the lanes when it wouldn't go down any gears so stayed flying round 80till car got in the way an as was in such high gear never had enough too pull me away i stood up & tried kicking the gear pedal so hard to go down it just wedge - have changed gearbox oil too try an free it up but it ain't having it i am no mechanic just wondering if anyone has had this problem before with this bike? it says its in gear an it not what do i do ? ? ?

Hi

Kicking the lever hard has probably damaged the shift mechanism inside the gearbox (if you are unlucky the shift forks which will mean splitting the crankcases).

I had use of a TS125 for a while until about a year ago, they're quite slack usually since they get pretty worn out (being an old ragged bike), as Keith said you've likely bent the bits of the gear selector that hide inside the engine casing. Could well mean the only option is to open her up and replace the part?
