Just how visible is it? There do not seem to be ladies of the night working the streets in Brum any more (My next-door neighbour said that there were a couple of girls working the end of my road a year ago but I never noticed) The only street (or rather canal) prostitution I see is the rent boy trade who hang about the Warwick Bar Junction on the Grand Union. I think this is a lot better for the girls as they have some degree of protection but would it not be a lot better if they had the protection of the state rather than the pimp?
